Harry Potter and the Rise of the Mark- SPOILERS!!!

Chapter One:

Riot in Akzaban

It was then, that it seemed, all happiness in the world, would be gone forever. There were several loud bangs on MacClaggan's cell door, then, the door fell off it's hinges. Standing in the empty doorway stood a eight foot figure, floating about a foot above the ground. It's long, dark cloak, covered everything with the small exceptions of his long, pale, dead, fingers. MacClaggan could feel death, it was laughing at him, telling him to give up. The damp puddle on the ground next to MacClaggan's feet froze in the cool air the shadowy figure has produced.

MacClaggan stared at the figure. Unfortunately, he saw these all the time. Fear in it's prime form were lingering over him every second of his entire life, straight from the moment he was born. He kept on staring into the dark figure, until he finally spoke, in an angry yet calm tone. 'What's all this, then?'

The Dementor continued to stare at MacClaggan. The stare lingered for what seemed like a solid hour, then it slowly reached for a pocket in it's cloak. The dead fingers grasped a wood stick, long and slender. The Dementor stared at the wand for a second, before handing it to MacClaggan. Just by reaching for the wand, MacClaggan's hand nearly froze. MacClaggan has just done what he has done before, hold a wand in his own hands. Even though he never used a wand before, he still knew three spells quite good. To keep himself from going insane, he was taught to spend his life in Akzaban practicing these three spells.

MacClaggan slowly rose, and walked past the Dementor, into the empty halls of Akzaban. Murderous eyes were watching over him, wondering why he was set free, and why did he have a wand in his own hands? Their answers were soon answered when he walked over to a nearby cell, where a pale woman sat, crying. She looked up, staring into the eyes of MacClaggan, then immediately saw his wand in his hand. He pointed the wand at her head.

The woman cried, 'I'm your mother! You're my son! You wouldn't!'

Mere seconds after she said her plead, MacClaggan pointed his wand at her. 'Crucio!'

The woman fell to her knees, screaming so loud it rattled glass. Other cellmates looked over, but dared not to ask questions. Eventually the man ceased the effect of the Unforgiving Spell. The mother starting crying, yelling her other son would never do this. Then, without any regret, MacClaggan spoke firmly. 'Avada Kedrava.'

The moment he had finished his words, a green light shot from his wand. It hit the woman hard in the head, and instantly killed her, without a trace. MacClaggan pocketed his wand, and walked down the hall, where he would be free for his first time. And as he passed, he read the sign hanging beside the dead woman's cell.

'Sentenced for life.' Then, magically, the following words appeared to have to written themselves. 'Died in sentence.' At the very bottom of the sign, laid the words, 'Malfoy, Narcissa.'

Chapter Two:

Big D

One day, seventeen years ago, there was a horrible crisis. The two ugliest parents have given birth to an even uglier vermint. The boy was born at a weight of 8.3 Kilograms, and was so large the Muggle Doctors thought he was actually a shaven bulldog, and somebody even asked the parents to leave their dog outside. Now, seventeen years after that tragic day, he was celebrating his birthday.

'I can't believe my little Dudders is one year from becoming an adult!' Aunt Petunia cried. Petunia had a large, crooked nose perched upon her bony face. Her small, beady eyes, laying upon her son. 'This is a proud moment for the Dursleys!'

Uncle Vernon was sitting across from Aunt Petunia, his nose buried in the morning paper. He reached for his coffee mug, took a sip, and replied calmly. 'I just hope that the boy doesn't mess today up. Where is he anyway?'

Aunt Petunia flinched. Nowadays, she hated it whenever somebody mentioned her hated nephew. She took a deep breath, and replied camly. 'It's best not to disturb him. He may not like it...'

Uncle Vernon slowly dropped his mug, put down his paper, and took a hard stare at Aunt Petunia. After what seemed like an eternity, he replied. 'You care what he thinks? What he likes?' Uncle Vernon's nerve in his forehead was throbbing beyond belief. 'No one cares about him. No one takes orders from him I am the king of this house, he is the mere slave.'

At that moment, a teenager walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. He was a bit of a mess. His dark hair was thrown around in every direction, his shirt was wrinkled in every way possible, and he dark stains all over his jeans.

Uncle Vernon stared at the teenager, and spoke in a calm yet dark voice. 'Harry Potter, how dare you wear that in my sight. Go upstairs and change right now.'

Harry stared at Uncle Vernon, and replied simply, 'No.'

Uncle Vernon continued, '-You look as bad as your dead father. Good thing he died. He did the world a favour.'

Harry froze on the spot. He was trying to compute what his uncle just told him. He didn't know how to reply. Stupidly, Uncle Vernon decided to continue.

'-He was a disgrace to the world. To your kind and our superior kind'

Harry couldn't believe his ears. He mentioned the wizarding world, where Harry was a proud resident, and then he mentioned the Muggle World, where the non-wizarding people lived. Harry didn't know what to do, except to reach for his wand.

Apparently Uncle Vernon didn't notice. '-You took his genes, and with a mix of your mother's, you formed to be a disgrace, just like your parents.'

Harry felt anger pulsing everywhere within him. He was blinded with fury, all he could see was pure white in front of him. Harry pulled his wand in front of him, and pointed it at Uncle Vernon. His hand was shaking so bad, he had trouble aiming his wand at Uncle Vernon. But he had to. He had to kill him. He crossed the line, now death was the price...

Harry took a moment, then yelled with all the anger in him. The pulse of anger and magic in the room was fierce, the glass on the kitchen table begin to rattle. Aunt Petunia screamed at Harry, and Dudley begin to wobble towards Harry. Before any of them could act upon him, Harry yelled, 'Sectumsempra!'

Uncle Vernon toppled over from the force of the spell. He hit the table hard, and lost most of his consiousness. Invisible swords seemed to be slashing at his chest, and blood began to splutter across the kitchen floor. Aunt Petunia screamed, and Dudley ran over to Harry, trying to punch him. The punch caused Harry to fall backwards a bit, and drop his head. Then slowly, he raised his head once more, and Aunt Petunia screamed when he saw his face.

Harry's eyes were solid white and a little thinner, but that wasn't the worst part. His face seemed to form in the combination of a snake and a cat. When he opened his mouth to scream, Petunia could see small white fangs instead of Harry's usual yellowish latterals. Harry's scalp was changed too, his hair was as sleek as Draco's, a boy in Harry's Grade who had unusual straight hair, and his hair was also as black as Snape's, Harry's former teacher who also had unusual hair. Harry stood up to his full height again, and pointed his wand straight at Aunt Petunia. 'Crucio', he muttered.

Aunt Petunia screamed even louder than usual, and fell to her knees, begging between the screams. She was experiencing pain beyond all others, pain in it's most powerful and true form. Her face began to swell, and her fingers began bony around the knuckes. After about a minute of this, Harry relinquished the spell, and let Aunt Petunia free. Now, there was only one other person in the room who was consious. Big D.

Harry stared at Dudley, who returned the favour. The stare seemed to last an eternity, until, Harry muttered another spell.

'Avada Kedrava.'

Chapter Three:

The Charges

Harry stood over the three bodies that were his only last relatives. Uncle Vernon was crouched over at the dining table, clutching his bloody chest. Harry quickly guessed he died of eternal bleeding. Aunt Petunia was still gaping, even though she was no longer alive. Since she was a Muggle, the Crucio spell must've had more powerful effect than on a wizard. Then, Harry laid his eyes on Dudley. Laying on the floor, dead. No physical harm at all. If a Muggle doctor saw him, they would be stunned. How could a four hundred and fifty kilogram teenager die without a trace?

Harry sat down on an empty chair beside a puddle of blood. He had no clue what he was going to do. He's going to be accused of killing Muggles with Unforgivable Curses, that would be a kiss from a Dementor. The Dementor's Kiss was a deadly weapon, when a Dementor, the beasts guarding the convicts at Azkaban, kissed a wizard, their soul would be taken away from them forever. They would not be dead, but not alive either. Cursed for roaming the world never knowing emotions again.

Just as Harry thought about that, a barn owl swooped through an open window, and landed on the table beside Harry. It stuck out it's leg, where a letter was tied to. Harry took off the letter, and read the adress. 'Ministry of Magic.'

Harry slowly opened the letter, and began to read.

'Ministry of Magic.

Rufus Scrimgeour

Minister of Magic

Mister Harry James Potter,

You have been charged of fourteen charges. The charges are:

Under-Age Magic outside of Wizarding School
Harming a Muggle
Killing a Human
Killing a Muggle with Magic
Under-Age Magic outside of Wizarding School
Using an Unforgiving-Curse
Harming a Muggle
Killing a Human
Killing a Muggle with Magic
Under-Age Magic outside of Wizarding School
Using an Unforgiving-Curse
Harming a Muggle
Killing a Human
Killing a Muggle with Magic

Since you are still under-age and not the age of seventeen, we don't have the authority to give you the Dementor's Kiss. Instead, you are charged for a Life-Long Imprisonement in Azkaban. Your hearing is on July 10th, at 10:17 am, in the 10th Courtroom, in the Ministry of Magic. We will expect to see you then. If you don't attend the hearing, we will come for you, and you will automatically be sent to Azkaban. Also, your wand will be consiscated and broke.

Thank you.

Rufus Scrimgeour

Minister of Magic'

Harry read this letter over again about three times. A part of him wanted to regret his past actions, but then he quickly remembered what Uncle Vernon said about his parents. Harry wished Uncle Vernon was still alive, so he could strike him down again. Harry gripped his wand in his hand so tightly, he could feel his wand begin to mold between his fingers. He was so spooked, that when another owl flew through the window, he acted quickly.

'Stupefy!'

The owl fell out of the air, and collapsed onto the ground. Harry walked over the stunned owl, and picked up an identical letter from it's leg. He opened it, and read.

'Harry,

I've just heard that you have been charged again. Fourteen charges, and a sentence for life in Akzaban. The trial is one week from today. Harry, this is very serious. Meet us at the Burrow by supper tonight. To get there, go to Mrs. Figg's house, and ask her for some Floo Powder, and get here as fast as you can. Harry, your death could be in one week. Stay focused.

Arthur Weasley'

By the time he had finished reading, he felt his heart leap. 'I had performed two Unforgivable Curses, and Arthur is still there for me. Let's just hope Ron, Hermonie, and Ginny agree as well.'

Harry walked upstairs, and his heart took another leap. He's going to the Burrow.

Chapter Four

The Floo Network

Harry ran upstairs, his heart beating fast. Somehow, he managed to completely forget that he killed his only family members, and will be sent to Akzaban, all he cared about is that he will see Ron. Harry ran into his room, furiously reaching for his stuff and throwing it in his trunk. His Firebolt, his Marauder's Map, his Invisibility Cloak, and all of his useless spellbooks. Due to the fact that Hogwarts has closed down the previous year, there would be no need for books this year. By the time he finished, Hedwig returned from hunting.

'Just in time Hedwig!' Harry cheered. 'Were going to the Burrow!'

Hedwig clapped her beak a couple of times to show her appreciation. Harry stuffed her in her cage, and rushed downstairs. He bolted out of the cursed building he spent most of his life, and it finally came to him. 'I'm free.'

Harry ran next door, and knocked excitedly on Mrs. Figgs door. After about a minute, the door creaked open, and there stood a grumpy looking woman. Harry was surprised, when he saw Mrs. Figg in action two years ago, she seemed so much more... lively. Now, she had a huge frown stratched across her face, and hated herself for letting Harry in.

She began to mutter to herself. Eventually Harry heard the words, 'Murder', and realized she hated him because he rid the world of the three worst Muggles in the world. Harry returned the gesture, by saying nothing, and walked grumpily over to the fireplace. He picked up a handful of Floo Powder which was sitting in a bowl beside him, stepped into the fireplace, and held his hand up high. He waited, then eventually said in an angry, annoyed voice. 'The Burrow...'

Harry dropped the Floo Powder, and green sparks flew from the fireplace. Harry felt himself being brought down by an invisible force, and seemed to be pulled out of thin air. Harry could feel pressure all around him, he was feeling tight in his back. When he travelled by Floo Powder for the first time five years ago, it wasn't nearly as painful. Harry began to twist and jerk, he couldn't feel ground, where was he?

Then, Harry then felt pain beyond belief, his scar felt like it was ripping open. Harry's screams seemed to have reached no one and went unnoticed. Harry continued to scream. His robes began to catch fire, and his glasses shattered under the immense pressure. Harry even began to realise this was more painful then when Voldemort put the Crucio curse on Harry three years ago. Harry continued to scream for what seemed like an eternity, until another force brought him down to the ground, and he was standing, for some reason, in all too familiar place.

Harry stepped out of the fireplace, and dropped his stuff in amazement. He was in a dark room, with stone walls, and torches were on the walls. Other than that, the room was empty, except for a small bed, and black door to the left of him. Then, Harry realized where he was. He was in Hogwarts.

Harry walked around the room, and suddenly remembered, this was the Room of Requirement. A room where one could only get in if they really wanted to. The room changed for whatever you wanted. If you wanted a washroom, the room would become a washroom. If you wanted a broom closet, it would be a broom closet. That's why it hurts so much if you try to enter by Floo. It was magically enhanced so you could enter from the outside door. But he hadn't remembered a small bed in the middle. It was as small for an elf...

Then Harry remembered. This is what Dobby used to heal Winky after she got drunk. He took her to the Room of Requirement, and wanted an Elf Sized Bed and a cozy fire. Exactly. Harry took a closer look at the small bed, and saw in fancy writing on the side, 'The Borrow.'

Harry was relieved. He was in Hogwarts at long last! He decided to sit down, and look around the new room. That's when he heard footsteps.

Chapter Five

The Conversation with Death

Harry reached for his school trunk, and flung it open. He reached frantically for an old parchment, known only as the 'Marauder's Map'. Harry pulled it out of his trunk, and pulled out his wand with his other hand.

Harry tapped the map with his wand and whispered, 'I solemny swear that I am up to no good.'

The parchment then magically showed a map of Hogwarts, and everybody inside of it, and where they were going. This clever map was made by his father who was James Potter, Remus Lupin, his old Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, Sirius Black, Harry's Godfather, and Peter Pettigrew, Voldemort's most worthy slave. Harry quickly searched the map for the seventh floor, where he was. The Room of Requirement is not on the Marauder's Map, but Harry had it memorized. Harry looked around for people near by, and when he did, he saw his most hated name in the world, walking in the corrdier in front of the Room.

'Tom Marvolo Riddle'

Harry knew who he really was. Lord Volemort was standing outside of the room now, staring in the direction of the hidden door. Harry watched the map as Lord Voldemort began to pace across the corridor. Harry's stomach did a backflip. He's trying to get it.

Harry ran to the door, and pressed his ear against it. Through it, he could hear calm, cold words.

'I wish to know what Harry Potter is doing. I wish to know what Harry Potter...'

Voldemort knew where he was. Harry then let out a scream, as his scar was being teared apart. It felt like a thousand hot knives were diving into Harry's skull. The more the flesh the better. Harry could no longer hear Volemort's muttering. Harry didn't care if he was to die in mere seconds. He just wanted the pain to stop. Anything to make the pain stop. He would even kill to make the pain stop.

The door opened, and a dark figure stepped into the room. He had white skin, and his face was of a snake. He had a flat nose, red slits for eyes, and Harry even swore he saw a forked tongue. The man looked down, and saw a wailing Potter, and laughed silently.

'Potter...', it began. 'What brings you to a closed school? I thought my servants got the job done. Kill Dumbledore. Let word out that nowhere is safe...'

This would probably be the only thing in the world that would distract Harry from pain. The cold voice of Lord Voldemort.

Voldemort continued. '- I see you can't take the pain, pity Potter. You feel my every emotion.'

Harry stood up to his full height, which was still nothing to the tall, thin, body of Lord Voldemort.

Voldemort chuckled. 'Brave you are. Still, you should've been in my house Slytherin.'

Harry hated the accent he put on 'my'. Harry knew that Voldemort was the last existing desendant of Salazar Slytherin. Then again, there wasn't a part of Lord Voldemort that Harry did fancy.

'You'll pay for all the Mudbloods you killed!' Harry yelled. Suddenly, he just realized something dreadful. He actually said, 'Mudblood', one of the fowlest words in the wizarding world. It's a rude slang for people who have Muggle Blood in them.

Voldemort stood over Harry. He couldn't believe what he heard, or what to think. Should he notice the fact that Harry threatened Lord Voldemort, the most powerful wizard of all time, or the fact that Harry said 'Mudblood'. Voldemort took a moment to reply, then simply began, 'Wow...'

Harry could feel his blood freeze. Before he could react, Voldemort continued.

'You....wow....you may prove useful to me. The boy who caused me great pain for ten years might actually help me...'

Harry seemed glued to the spot now. 'Never...'

Voldemort sneered. 'Join me or die... You will hear from one of my agents on July 10th.' After that being said, Voldemort spinned in the air.

CRACK!

Voldemort Disapparated. Which was strange, since Hermonie always said no wizard could Apparate through Hogwarts. The only answer he could think of was that Voldemort disabled the curse. After taking a long think, Harry began to wonder.

'I have no Floo Powder, I don't get my Apparting License until next week...'

That's when Harry noticed his open trunk, and his eyes laid on two things. His Firebolt, and his Invisibilty Cloak.

Yeah, I should've worn you first. Anyway, that's not my best work. That's just something I wrote for fun. I would NEVER hand that in for a school assignment.

Lol, ya, it is a bit short for a novel, but it, just by length, would make a good two page short story.

Those are just the first six chapters though. I have a whole plot going on in my head, that should last like fifty chapters!
