Pre-Term Testing

Headmaster Gimalden, heir to the throne of Headmaster ever since Dumbledore resigned his title. He was not the most wonderous of headmasters to come. His eyes were sort of cloudy, yet the green of his iris still shone through. He wore a blue robe, engraved with the Hogwarts crest on the right pocket. He had an ebony and ashwood wand, the ashwood, reddish orange blending faintly at the tip. The rest of his wand was black as night. He was a younger headmaster, with long, straight black hair edging past his neck. He wore squarish glasses, and had a clean shaved face. His nails were long, and his fingers pointed to the doors of the Great Hall, and they slammed shut. Gimalden's throat cleared as he stood at the alter of the Great Hall, raising his hands for silence.

"Welcome to Hogwarts!" His raspy voice called out to the students attending the test. "You have come welcomely to the Great Hall and as such I have a treat for you all at the end of this test."

Without a pause he continued on with anticipation, "This test will not be graded, however points will be given otherwise. Now would to all gather around the table."

In those last words a dueling table appeared in the middle of the Hall as the other four had disapeared to the kitchen.

"I will be asking two students at a time to reveal their knowledge, even if not in the dueling sence. The one whom answers the most appropriatly will be awarded 1 point. Shall we begin?"

Finn stares at the man whom would become his headmaster trying to decide whether or not he would like him in the years to come. Then turns and gazes at the other students who would soon be his friends or rivals. Then glances back at the headmaster awaiting his next sentence.

Gimalden's eyes dashed to those of young Finn Eriksson. He knew his name, as he makes sure he knows every students name.

"Mr. Eriksson I presume. Why don't you make yourself comfortable atop the table. South end if you don't mind."

He then looked around to see any other suitable challangers. He scanned for a moment, veiwing the expressions of others, avoiding those whom were rudely chatting, and debating from those whom had the most interest in this little test.

Snitch: *Pulls out wand and rudely walks up to the North End of the Table* *Bows slowly, spins around, and walks back to the end of the table, wand at ready*

Gimalden was not pleased with the somewhat rude display Snitch made. He made no comment however, and spoke, "Oh, you won't be needing that at the moment... Snitch. For now we will be asking questions. Nothing too difficult, but considering your display, casting will most certainly wait."

Gimalden cast a sort of glare at the student, and looked over to Finn, "We only need to know if you are prepared Mr. Eriksson. Possibly a moment to think?"

Finn thought back to his father telling him about each of the houses, he glanced at his opponent realizing that he was part of the Ravenclaw house. Finn is not the most intelligent child in the world yet he felt that he could beat his opponent at anything.

Finn walks over to the south end of the table, glares at his opponent with a try-to-be frightning look as he takes his hand pushes his bangs away from his eyes though his hair was not quite long enough to reach them. He then look back over at the headmaster...

"I am ready"

((ooc: sorry if this means I am stalling this by leaving... but I didn't want to change my characters image by chickening out))

Snitch continues to stare at his clumsy opponent. Snitch is intimidated by Slytherins, so he tried to look away and forget where he was. Then, he slowly pointed his wand arm at Finn, his other arm was lurched over his head, also pointing at Finn. His red eyes and Ravenclaw badge were gleaming under the candlelight.

"Very well, the challenge I will ask of you is this; take your wand, break it. Further instructions will be given after you both do so, if you have it in you." Gimalden told the two contestants as he pointed his finger to them.

Snitch: *With his immense strength and coolness, breaks wand in half. The blood (The magical ingredient in Snitch's wand) begins to drip down to the table* *Snitch watched, and before his eyes, the puddle of blood reformed to form the shape of a Raven attacking a snake* *Snitch continued to stare, until he eventually spoke* Bring me Erkisson....

Roobz watchs, waiting for somebody to make a mistake. Wondering, would she laugh at the persons misfortune.. run up to help.. or just do nothing.
After talking to the girl next to her, who raises her eyebrows at her, Roobz descides to do nothing. You cant be judged by doing nothing can you?
